About the Caribbean islands

small map of area

Bequia

Bequia is the most northerly & largest island in the Grenadines, a chain of beautiful islands that stretch from St Vincent down to Grenada. It is undoubtedly one of the most beautifully and unspoilt islands in the Caribbean with a backbone spine of forested hills running from end to end of the island. It is unlikely ever to become too commercialised due to the more wealthy Vincentians either living there or having second homes on the island (many commute to the mainland).

It has long been favoured by visiting yachtsmen due to its sheltered and safe anchorage in Admiralty Bay so has developed to cater for their taste with a good selection of small hotels, bars & restaurants, shops & boutiques. The local people are helpful and friendly and as tourism is their main source of income, they are well in tune with the needs and requirements of visitors from other parts of the world.
