About the Caribbean islands
Union
With the exception of handling day trips to the Tobago Cays and other nearby islands from Barbados, Union Island is relatively new to the world of tourism. It is a jewel amongst a cluster of small islands at the southern end of the Grenadines, with its dramatic outline of peaks, particularly the Pinnacle, which is so steep that it resembles a church steeple. It is fringed by superb white sandy beaches and has an abundance of flora and fauna. It is the ideal island for visits to the world famous horseshoe reef and now a marine park, the Tobago Cays with its ring of 5 small islands, brilliant white sandy beaches and exquisite coral reefs ideal for diving and snorkelling.

Busy and bustling island which is also the port of entry into the southern Grenadines. Centre for day charters to Tobago Cays and surrounding islands.
Beaches
Lovely white sandy beaches. Beaches at Tobago Cays outstanding but you will need to get there by boat/water taxi.
Things to Do
Sailing, diving, snorkelling, swimming & walking. Ferry/boat trips to other Grenadine Islands, St Vincent & particularly the Tobago Cays.
Shopping
Some small supermarkets and general stores in Clifton. Fresh fish from the harbour. Good selection of boutiques
Restaurants & Nightlife
Some good restaurant particularly at Bigsand Hotel and Anchorage Yacht Club (open to all). Jump Ups during the season particularly at Lambis
Getting There
Small airport taking inter island flight from Barbados & other islands in the Grenadines. International airport at Barbados then inter island flight direct to Union Island or via ferry from St Vincent.

EC Dollar (which is very approximately EC$4 to £1) but US Dollar accepted.
