Belair Gardens Cottage

Carriacou

This is an absolutely delightful, very peaceful, private island-style cottage that nestles in a hillside garden with breathtaking views of the Grenadines. This fabulous view encompasses 14 islands of the Grenadines chain and on a clear day includes St Vincent some 37 miles to the north.

Wildlife abounds at Belair Gardens Cottage, including banana quits, mocking birds, semi-wild macaws, doves, manicou, chameleons, iguanas and more! Located on a private 3 acre property adjacent to a government forest, set away from the main house where the owners live and with a separate private driveway, the cottage is about 1.5 miles outside the main town of Hillsborough. A scenic winding road takes you through the countryside and ascends to the village of Belair some 700 feet above sea level. There is no need for mosquito nets or fans here, as there is always a cool breeze up on this windward hillside. Delightfully decorated in stunning Caribbean colours this charming and comfortable hideaway offers a tranquil setting where you can unwind and soak up the beauty of this little known Caribbean island.

Accommodation:
Steps down from the parking area into open plan living area with seating and door to the railed deck with a hammock, all overlooking the simply stunning views. The kitchen area is fully equipped and includes a gas cooker, refrigerator and toaster. An arch leads into the bedroom with queen size bed and a ladder from the living room rises to the sleeping loft with an additional double bed. Mosquito nets are available. The bathroom has a basin and WC with an adjoining hot water shower outdoors.

Outside: The cottage is surrounded by landscaped gardens with some fruit trees and forest beyond.
Staff: Maid service available twice weekly at an additional charge. A laundry service is also available at extra charge.
Beach: 1.5 miles
Shop/Supermarket: 1.5 miles
Restaurant & Bars: 1.5 miles
Car Hire: Highly recommended. Bus service to and from Belair and Hillsborough. Taxis also available.

Price Information: Price based on 2 adults. Minimum 7 night booking during high season.
