Calvados Heights is perched on the edge of Turtle Bay cliff, and commands magnificent totally unspoilt views of Montserrat to the South and the coast of Antigua to the West. Situated in a very safe and crime free area, at the end of a two mile track, the position of the house and studio occupies one of the finest sites on the island and has what we consider to have some of the best views. A large kidney shaped swimming pool is in front of the house above the cliff edge and the rocky beach below is within a few minutes walk, with its clean, clear water being excellent for both swimming and snorkelling. Guests staying at Calvados Heights actually caught 5 lobsters here! The main beach (coral) is approximately 5 minutes walk away.
This superb, wonderfully secluded property has been built to a high standard and is very comfortably and tastefully furnished with antiques and delightful soft furnishings. Electricity is via solar panels and backed up by generator. With many terraces on different levels, a roof garden and beautifully landscaped exotic grounds that every budding gardener dreams of, including areas that give welcome shade, the whole property creates its' own totally relaxed atmosphere. The owners have endeavoured to try and think of everything to ensure that their guests have a memorable holiday, even the sunsets (weather permitting)! An initial food and drink pack (including rum!) of dinner and breakfast provided on arrival.

The Main House
Sleeps 4 (2 bedrooms)
Access is from the parking area, via the garden through patio doors into a spacious, very comfortable, though not imposing drawing room with pillars and archways. Further patio doors to a delightful well furnished sitting/sun room. Satellite TV video and stereo system. Steps up from the drawing room to the lovely spacious kitchen with gas cooker, enormous fridge/freezer, dishwasher, loads of storage space, an unusual breakfast bar with canopy over filled with attractive plants. Door to parking area. Utility room (by arrangement with the owner) with use of washing machine. Seven stairs down from drawing room to double bedroom (5ft bed) with patio doors to own balcony/deck. There are fabulous views from here. Dressing room. Wonderful, grandiose, domed ceiling bathroom with shallow sunken shower unit, (shower over), bidet, basin and WC. From the drawing room, three stairs up to twin bedroom (3ft beds) with en-suite shower room with shower, basin and WC. Floor standing fans throughout and mosquito nets on all beds.

Outside: Swimming pool with under-water lighting and sun-bathing deck. Ample parking space. Various partly covered terraces, on different levels, some with garden furniture and stunning sea views and one of which is the dining room. All have loads of beautiful mature colourful tropical plants, giving a truly exotic ambience to this very special little heaven on earth.
Studio Apartment
Sleeps 2 (1 bedroom)
This completely self-contained studio apartment has its own access and is situated below the dining terrace. It is an ideal base for a couple looking for informal, 'no frills' accommodation with a swimming pool and stunning views in a beautiful tranquil and quiet setting. It has a good sized bed/sitting room with a double bed, a small separate simple kitchen area with gas cooker and fridge and a separate shower room. It has its own terrace with garden furniture which leads to the swimming pool. Parking space.
Letting options
Either the main house (two bedrooms) may be booked, or the studio flat (1 bedroom), or both the main house and the studio together (3 bedrooms).
However, the property cannot be booked to two separate groups of guests.
(The owner occupies the studio apartment if the main house is booked on its' own and the main house if the studio apartment is booked)
This property is unsuitable for children.
Staff: Maid service by arrangement with the owner
Beach: Quarter of a mile. Many others 10 minutes drive away.
Shop/Supermarket: 2 Miles.
Restaurant & Bars: 15 to 20 of them 10 minutes drive away (English Harbour).
Car Hire: Essential - Jeep recommended and can be arranged
