Palm Trees

Carriacou

Palm Trees lies just two minutes from a near-deserted beach, down stepping-stones. Another cove beach is a ten-minute stroll around the bay. The cottage enjoys magnificent panoramic sea views from three sides, all the way north to Union island, and southwards towards the town of Hillsborough.The cottage stands on a hillside on the Craigston Estate. The Craigston Estate is a former lime plantation, which is now run as a farm with trees and meadows bordering a peaceful section of Carriacou's west coast.

Accommodation
Palm Trees is mainly of wooden construction with polished Caribbean hardwood floors. Folding doors from the open-plan living/dining/kitchen area give access onto the spacious porches and when the wide window shutters are opened too, it feels as though you are almost living out of doors, refreshed by the constant cooling breezes. There is a well equipped kitchen in a tiled galley corner and a shower room with vanity sink and toilet. A 4'6" (1.4m) fold-down futon sofa bed provides sleeping accommodation for two people. The master bedroom has a 5'0" double bed and ensuite shower, toilet & vanity sink. There is a small second bedroom with a 3' single bed (suiltable for a child).

Facilities:
Beds have mosquito nets.
Linens and towels provided but bring your own beach towels.
Telephone.
Outside laundry area with deep sink.
Local tour boats to out-islands pick up from beach below cottage.

Staff: Maid Service one morning a week
Beach: 5 minutes walk down a track and stepping stones to nearby deserted sandy beach. Alternatively a 10 minutes walk to cove beach.
Car Hire: Recommended but not essential
