Toad Hall Cottages

Set within 1 acre of grounds, with no neighbours in the vicinity, Villa Laguna is located up its own steeply curving drive, in a secluded, quiet and tranquil situation at Little Apple Bay, a wonderful spot for surfing and within half a mile of Long Bay, which is, as the name suggests, a fabulous unspoilt stretch of white sand beach. From the property there are stunning 180% views overlooking the sea and Jost van Dyke, one of the most beautiful islands in the B.V.I. Here is a perfect hideaway for two, however the uniqueness of the villa enables it to accommodate up to eight people. There is ample room and privacy for all to enjoy this incredible retreat, yet it is within walking distance of the excellent Sugar Mill Hotel, regarded by many to be the best restaurant on the island and also the famous surfside Bombas Shack, where the full moon parties are awesome. Villa Laguna has been extremely innovatively created and built and actually takes its name from the design and nature of the pool, which gives the appearance of a Lagoon, particularly at night. A romantic poolside dinner would tempt even the most reluctant Romeo! Some who stay here barely leave the confines of the property, as it has just about everything one could possibly dream of and has been visited by many celebrities. It is divided into three separate buildings, two of which are inter connecting via the pool and therefore we do not recommend the villa as suitable for small children (unless constantly supervised and entirely at guests own risk).

Accommodation
The Main House
The principal part of the villa comprises a beautiful and thoughtfully furnished spacious living room and includes sofas and chairs, many quality antique pieces of furniture, Cable TV with over 30 channels, VCR, stereo system, videos, CDs and a comprehensive library of books. French doors to covered terrace with table and chairs for Al Fresco meals and poolside deck with sun-loungers. From here one can really appreciate the solitude and beauty of the Caribbean. There is a telephone for local (free) and incoming calls. (International calls by credit card). The dining area has table and chairs to seat six. The kitchen area is fitted with open fronted cupboards and shelving and is equipped with a large gas cooker, microwave, and fridge/freezer. (There is no dishwasher). An archway from the kitchen leads to a rear hallway and shower room with shower, basin and WC. There is a laundry area with a large washing machine and a tumble dryer. Double bedroom with 5ft bed and air-conditioning. The master bedroom is located on the opposite side of the lily-pond and is accessed via stepping-stones. It has a king-size 6ft bed, air conditioning and en-suite basin and WC. There is an outdoor, screened shower, designed to be in keeping with the Lagoon conception and an enclosed covered terrace with a super hammock. The owner normally occupies the main house between January and March (inclusive), therefore when he is in residence, this portion of the property is not available (see above).
Studio Apartment:
With its own access and located beneath the main part of the house, this completely self-contained new addition to Villa Laguna has a spacious, air conditioned open plan room, with a king size 6ft bed, TV, (local channels only), VCR and a small kitchen area with a microwave and fridge/freezer (no cooker). Shower room with shower, basin and WC. There is an attractive covered sitting out area, with almost the same fabulous view as that of the main house. (The swimming pool and Main House facilities are not available if the apartment is booked as a separate entity).

Studio Cottage
Situated well away from the main villa, this sweet little cottage is completely self-contained and has twin beds which can be adapted to make a king-size 6ft double bed, cable TV with over 30 channels, VCR and a small kitchen area with microwave, fridge with small freezer compartment and a toaster oven. Shower room with small cubicle shower, basin and WC. There is a small deck with table and chairs and the most superb views. (The swimming pool and Main House facilities are not available if the Cottage is booked as a separate entity).

Outside
The pool is the piece de resistance and is reflected in the name of the Villa, as the swimming pool is lined with glossy black paint and a roped bridge across the centre. The adjoining lily pond even has fish amongst the water lilies and a fabulous waterfall and the cleverly positioned lighting all adds to the attraction and individuality of this delightful property. The grounds are mainly comprised of local/tropical vegetation, flowers, shrubs and trees and there is ample parking space in the drive.
